Cookie policy

EW Discover GmbH uses browser cookies, scripts, web beacons, tracking URLs, pixel tags and similar technologies (hereinafter “cookies”) to provide, protect and improve our website and applications. In the following, we explain to you how our cookies work, what purpose they have, what type of data they collect and how you can manage your cookie settings.

What are cookies, and how do they work?

Cookies are small files. When you visit our website or application (hereinafter “platform”), these files will be downloaded to the browser directory or to the hard drive of your computer, tablet or smartphone (hereinafter “device”). Every time you visit our platform, the cookie and the platform communicate, thereby recognizing your device. This is useful for both you and us. For example, a cookie can be used to save your text entries in form fields on the website, so you do not have to provide the same information again the next time you visit the website. This improves the user-friendliness of our platforms. We manage the cookies with a small program called a “tool” or “tag.”

We use cookies from first and third-party providers. First-party cookies come from our platform and only send information to us; third-party cookies are placed on our website by third parties and send information about your device to other companies that recognize this cookie. In most cases, the information in a cookie is pseudonymized or anonymized, because cookies generally do not identify you as a person, but rather your device. In rare cases, certain cookies can be linked to personal data. We will only process such information if you give us your consent or if processing it is necessary so you can use a certain service, such as your discover-airlines.com profile.

For more information on cookies, please visit https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/

Meta

(Pixel/Web beacon)

_fbp

(90 days)

Meta Pixel is a JavaScript code that is triggered when a website is accessed. It is used to optimize EW Discover GmbH campaigns on meta platforms.

1. Personalized advertising (targeting)

The Meta Pixel allows user data to be collected in order to display targeted advertising on Facebook, Instagram and in the meta-advertising network. This allows EW Discover GmbH to address users with customized advertisements based on their behavior and interests.

2. Conversion tracking

The Meta Pixel is used to measure whether users, after interacting with an ad (e.g., on Facebook), perform certain actions on the website (e.g., making a purchase). This is used to track the success of advertising campaigns and to assess the effectiveness of advertisements.

3. Retargeting

With the Meta Pixel, EW Discover GmbH can re-address users who previously visited discover-airlines.com. This makes it possible to display relevant advertisements to these users again, e.g., to remind them of canceled purchase transactions.

4. Optimization of advertising campaigns:

The collected data makes it possible to optimize advertising campaigns and to create better target groups on the basis of user behavior and conversions. This serves to increase the efficiency of marketing measures.
