Eurowings Discover becomes Discover Airlines

Let’s discover: the new leisure airline

We are pleased to announce: Eurowings Discover is now called Discover Airlines. Being fully owned by the Lufthansa Group, we started operations in the middle of the pandemic under the umbrella brand of the group’s sister company Eurowings. In the last two years, we managed a great take-off. Since July 2021, we have been fully integrated into the Frankfurt and Munich hubs as a quality vacation airline. Since September 5, 2023, guests can discover our new look and more.

We look forward to experiencing and creating many more unforgettable travel moments with our guests.

Let’s discover: the joy of flying

At its core, the Discover Airlines brand embodies the joy of traveling, discovering and re-discovering beautiful places, experiences and moments. This vacation vibe already starts when you join us on board, with great attention to detail and above all, joy in everything we do. We want to be the airline that makes passengers’ best time of the year even more awesome. Together with them, we want to enjoy the little and big moments of happiness when traveling.

Let’s discover: what joyful flying looks like

Not only is the name of our airline changing, but our entire appearance. The new, modern and fresh, yet consistently high-quality design conveys exactly this feeling. Quite appropriately for an airline, it is inspired by the horizon. More specifically, by the different lines and color nuances that arise when the blue sky meets the land. These “skylines” are the most important design element of the brand, sporting different shades of blue and a sunny yellow. The overall look is very distinct and upmarket. But with its versatility in particular, it always reflects the essence of the brand: the joy of traveling.

A stand-alone design with familiar elements

The lowercase Discover logo ending in a period is retained as a word mark. It has been an integral part of the brand identity since the beginning and has long since had recall value. Now, it is complemented by the word “airlines”. And the period also becomes even more important. It’s an element that rounds off the “skylines”, giving them a significantly stronger individuality.

This is also why we are repainting our aircraft, which can also be admired in the sky from the first week of September. Then, the first newly designed Airbus A320 will land in Frankfurt. In the following months, our fleet will continue to take shape and adopt the new colors. Also in the cabin: seat belts, pillows, headrests and many other elements have been adapted to sport our new “skylines” colors, creating a harmonious ensemble. Despite the individuality of the new design, the connection with the Lufthansa core brand is discreetly indicated by elements such as the dark blue color and the word mark in Lufthansa font.
