Discover Airlines is the Lufthansa Group’s quality leisure airline in Germany, taking travelers from Frankfurt and Munich to the most beautiful vacation destinations across the world. With a modern product tailored to the needs of private travelers and the friendly service of the crew, flying with Discover Airlines is a joy. Since summer 2021, Discover Airlines has supplemented the Lufthansa Group offering in the growing segment of private travel. Guests benefit from an end-to-end booking process and seamless transfers at the Frankfurt and Munich hubs as well as at numerous global destinations of the Lufthansa Group and its partner airlines. Discover Airlines has its headquarters in Frankfurt. It currently operates a fleet of 27 aircraft and employs approximately 2,000 employees. At its core, the Discover Airlines brand embodies the joy of traveling, discovering and re-discovering beautiful places, experiences and moments.
Our fleet
High range, high passenger capacity and high efficiency – Discover Airlines relies on a combination of Airbus A330 aircraft on intercontinental flights and Airbus A320 aircraft on short and medium range routes. The Discover Airlines fleet consists of a total of 27 aircraft – 13 Airbus A330 and 14 Airbus A320.
Our responsibility
Offsetting flight emissions together
We are always looking for new ways to reduce and offset flight emissions. For this purpose, we work with partners such as Compensaid and myclimate, who stand for more sustainable travel. During the booking process on Lufthansa.com, CO2 can be offset for all flights with Discover Airlines. We also offer our guests the opportunity to offset CO2 emissions for their flights on board.
Green Fares
Green Fares are fares that enable more sustainable travel. When Green Fares are selected, the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) reduces the flight-related CO2 emissions (20% of the individual flight-related emissions), and the remaining CO2 emissions are offset with a contribution to high-quality climate protection projects in the scope of the flight-related CO2 emissions (80% CO2 of the individual flight-related emissions).
