Your dream destination in the Caribbean
Vacation in Punta Cana
Endless sandy beaches, turquoise-blue water, dream weather – you’ll find that and much more in the Caribbean. One of the dream Caribbean destinations is the Dominican Republic. It’s the second largest country in the Caribbean and by far the most diverse. Dense rainforests and steppe-like regions shape the landscape between the Atlantic in the north and the Caribbean in the south. And where the seas meet, Punta Cana entices with its palm-fringed sandy beaches, luxurious yacht marinas, fine restaurants, golf courses and exclusive spas.

The most beautiful beaches in Punta Cana
There are many beaches along the 48-kilometer coastline of Punta Cana. One of them is Bavaro Beach, which offers all kinds of watersports and little restaurants right on the beach. This extensive beach invites you to take long walks. It’s also especially suited for bathing with the whole family, as it slopes gently into the sea. Juanillo Beach is the somewhat quieter alternative in the south of Punta Cana. You can relax here to your heart’s content, far from the hustle and bustle.
Are you looking for an adventure in Punta Cana?
Punta Cana’s underwater world has at least as much to offer as its fantastic beaches. Discover brightly colored coral reefs while snorkeling or diving, and watch the inhabitants of the sea in their natural environment. If you prefer to spend your time above the water, you can go on breathtaking hikes in Cotubanamá National Park or take a cave excursion. Decipher mysterious rock drawings and pictograms, or enjoy emerald green lagoons that run through the caves.
Rhythm in the blood
Music occupies a special place in the life in the Dominican Republic. The Latin American music styles of merengue and bachata have been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. There are regular music events all over the country that bring you up close to the culture of the Dominican Republic – a must during your Caribbean vacation.
Typical local cuisine
Dominican cuisine is known for its variety: delicious soups, hearty stews, authentic street food and sweet desserts mean there’s something for everyone. Pureed plantains, red onions cooked in a vinegar sauce, served with baked cheese and salami, are components of a typical breakfast to help get you energized for the day ahead. If you order a “bandera dominicana” for lunch, named after the national flag, you’ll be served rice and beans with chicken or a variety of meat. Avocado salad and “tostones,” deep-fried plantains, are usually available as a side.
Play golf in a unique setting
With ideal teeing and weather conditions, the Dominican Republic is a popular destination for golf enthusiasts. The country has been awarded the “Best Caribbean Golf Destination” several times at the World Golf Awards. Varied inland and coastal golf courses offer the ideal conditions for a great round of golf against a unique backdrop.
