Terms and Conditions of Sale for the Selection of Seats in Online Check-in

Passengers have the option of choosing between different seating categories at different prices.

Passengers whose fare does not include a free seat reservation will automatically receive a seat during online check-in. Passengers have the option of changing their assigned seat during online check-in by booking the corresponding seat category for a fee.

Passengers with fares that include a free seat reservation or passengers who have already booked a seat reservation can change their existing seat within the same seat category free of charge, subject to availability.

• The passenger checks in online for a flight operated by Discover Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, Brussels Airlines or Austrian Airlines.
• Seats are available on the flight being checked in.
• There are no operational reasons to change seats.
• The passenger has a confirmed booking and is accepted for online check-in (no waiting list).
• The passenger checks in online no later than 2 hours before departure.

• When purchasing a higher seat category, the fee for the lower seat category paid previously can be refunded via the service center. A corresponding application is required for this. Offsetting is not possible.
• The fee for the seat category is always charged per route section. A change can be made within the same or a lower seat category free of charge.
• The purchase of the seat category for a flight is not refundable and will be forfeited if the flight is not taken.
• The purchase of a seat during online check-in only includes the selected seat category. The seat number within the respective seat category can be changed for operational reasons. In the event of an operational change, the passenger can change the newly assigned seat within the same seat category free of charge. A refund is not possible.
• Payment is only possible by credit card.
