Nova Scotia and New Brunswick share the Bay of Fundy, home to the highest tides in the world at 50 feet. Twice a day, over 160 billion tonnes of seawater flow in and out of the Bay with each tide cycle.

In late September and into October, the temperature is still very comfortable for exploring, the roads are uncrowded, and there’s the added bonus of spectacular autumn foliage of stunning yellows and golds.

Whale watching tours are available in Newfoundland and Labrador, Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, and in the Bay of Fundy. From land, visitors can spot puffins and other seabirds, moose, black bears, deer, caribou and more, all in their natural habitat.
