Technologies of the future
On board the A320 registered as D-AIUQ, our guests experience the most modern entertainment there is on short- and medium-haul flights: Fixed screens measure 14 inches diagonally, offering a maximum resolution of 4K (3840x2160 pixels). Alongside a wide selection of movies, series, podcasts, games and a moving 3D map, the open cloud-based IT platform offers the option of integrating numerous apps and services. For instance, there are apps available that travelers can use to find out about their destination and book tours while enroute on their vacation.
Operation is user-friendly and intuitive using the touch screen. To enjoy additional entertainment options like games and eJournals on a second screen, travelers can connect their own devices to the system. In addition, you can conveniently connect your own headphones to the screen via Bluetooth. An optional prompt enables content to be personalized and tailored to your personal preferences.
At the beginning of 2025, the aircraft will also be equipped with the latest internet technology, which will enable fast surfing, messaging and streaming. Different internet packages will be tested over the trial period of two years, including free messaging and free internet access.
